A Trusted Voice With Depth
Your words, brought to life
I started my voiceover career in 2015 under pillows in hotel rooms across Southeast Asia, in Singapore, Jakarta, Bangkok and Macau, while playing Mrs. Potts on the International Tour of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. I’ve since hung up the teapot and have been a full time voice artist ever since!
I have always loved breathing life into words and stories, and found that my 20+ years of training as an actor and singer was the perfect preparation for a career as a voice actor. I have made it my mission to bring an HONEST, human voice to every project I do.
I have been honored to work with clients like Skechers, Bank of America, Instacart, Amazon, West Elm, Sally Hansen, Wells Fargo, Walmart, Budweiser, American Express and more. I am particularly proud of the work I’ve done with organizations like Save the Children, the ASPCA, UNICEF, Goodwill, and the Travis Manion Foundation. I love using my voice to make an impact on people’s lives, whether that’s raising awareness about the urgency of climate change, or leading employees through a safety training program, the human voice has incredible power to motivate, educate, and inspire.
As a business-minded self starter from the theatre world, I have always known that talent is only a fraction of success. Therefore, from the beginning, I have approached my voiceover business as just that, a BUSINESS. I strive for client satisfaction, ease and speed, and above all, an enjoyable and collaborative experience. If you are a first time voice seeker, I will lay out the path we’ll take through the project and make it as simple and straight forward for you as possible. If you are an experienced voice seeker, I can jump in and get the job done quickly with no fuss or hand holding. Your most valuable asset is your time, so I want to save you as much of it as possible, while delivering pristine, top-quality audio “on a silver platter” (actual client quote!).
One silver lining that I believe came out of the experience living through this pandemic, is that we have all become much more authentic, empathetic and REAL with each other. I love hearing my client’s dog barking or baby cooing in the background during a session. I love hearing a little about their lives and how they’ve been managing through this unique time. It not only makes the work experience more fun, but it reminds us that we are all much more similar than we are different.
As a theatre actress, Emily most notably played Mrs. Potts on the First International tour of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, produced and directed by the original Broadway creative team, where she performed the role throughout Europe, Southeast Asia and the Middle East. She has also toured the US with Irving Berlin’s I Love a Piano and Cirque Dreams’ Holidaze and Illumination as a principal singer. Other favorite theatrical credits include “Lincoln Center’s American Songbook: The Songs of Elizabeth Swados” at Jazz at Lincoln Center, her self-produced show, “The Dance: The Music of Liz Swados” at Joe’s Pub, playing Dyanne in Million Dollar Quartet opposite the original Elvis from the Broadway production, and sailing the Hawaiian Islands as a principal singer for Norwegian Cruise Lines. Emily holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Syracuse University. She is truly looking forward to bringing the depth of her experience, expertise and passion to your next project!
